Combinations of our three core devices are capable of covering any sized location and are compatible with any internet bandwidth source, including: DSL, Cable, Satellite, T1, ISDN, and even other WISPs. A pay-per-use and coupon based access management system is built into each device to control who uses the internet connection and for how long. Bandwidth shaping technology is also included to automatically throttle a user's connection to the internet ensuring fair usage across your entire network, outgoing spam is automatically restricted, and file sharing capabilities are turned off by default. We strongly believe that our product line provides the best managed wireless internet service access anywhere.
NomadISP Advantages:
System Management: All of our products can be managed by a simple web based portal. {Demo it here!} Features include; viewing individual bandwidth usage, blocking user access, adding computers to a preferred access list, printing coupons, updating system pricing, and paying monthly management fees. Most of our product features are automatic, such as the fair bandwidth allocation and spam detection, and require no configuration or management.
Security: Our products provide a secure wireless environment for your guests. Each users is authenticated by both the MAC address of their wireless enabled computer and by a user account. Office computers may be added to a preferred device list to access the internet without logging in. All connected computers and devices are protected by a robust firewall and any personal information collected during registration is encrypted using SSL, the same protocol banks use to secure their customer's information during online banking sessions.
User Management: NomadISP actively tracks the data throughput of each user. Users that exceed pre-determined transfer limits are progressively throttled back so they do not negatively impact the experience for other users on the system. Known spyware and peer-2-peer file sharing ports are blocked to further prevent bandwidth abuse. We also actively monitor for excessive emailing, an indication of spamming.
